Results of cementless and cemented bipolar hemiarthroplasty in proximal femur fractures with Dorr type B morphology

Aim: Surgical outcomes of patients, who had Dorr type B femoral morphology, were operated on with bipolar hemiarthroplasty for hip fracture compared. Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 352 patients at least five years follow-up. The divided into two groups: cementless (Group 1; n = 136) and cemented 2; 216). focused the following parameters: admission cost, type, gender, need blood transfusion, Harris score (HHS), additional fracture, use cement, mortality rate, revision surgery, time between trauma operation, duration hospital stays, surgery time. Results: mean age in Group 2 was higher. a significantly longer higher transfusion than 1. hemoglobin values lower. pertrochanteric femur fractures more common neck 2. groups did not differ by parameters stay, fracture. Conclusion: In this study, mainly hemiarthroplasty, while primarily treated hemiarthroplasty.
